Two and a half months after the elections of 1998, the Placer County, california statute enforcement Department, raids the home of Steven W. Kubby, former Libertarian (constitutionalist) gubernatorial candidate, for possession upon his deportation from the Dominion of Canada.  The deputies arrest Kubby, who suffers from pheochromocytoma, a cancer that afflicts the adrenal glands, which does not respond to chemotherapy, and his wife, for possession of legal, medicinal marijuana that Kubby needs to treat his malady.
