While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Vietnam, “united in … determination to take all necessary measures in support of freedom,” the supreme court, of the corporate United states, hands down United states v Arnold, Schwinn & Company, ordering Schwinn Bicycle to divest itself of its network of retail outlets, as they give the company and “unfair” advantage over its competitors.

       Postscript: Schwinn was eventually driven into bankruptcy by its competitors.

       The “Summer of Discontent” continues: In Cincinnati, (Federal enclave of) Ohio, While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Vietnam, “united in … determination to take all necessary measures in support of freedom,” rioting erupts over incessant police harassment. 

       Postscript: Four days later racially based rioting had led to the death of one U.s. subject/enemy/citizen and 2,000,000 “dollars” worth of property damage.
