Kuwait formally receives its independence from the United Kingdom.  A year before, when the British terminated its protectorate, Iraq immediately made claims to its renegade province; within the next month, British armed forces were stationed in Kuwait at the request of the Emir.

       The supreme court, of the corporate United states, hands down Mapp v. (Federal enclave of) Ohio, overturning Wolf v. colorado: via the fraudulent 14th amendment, states may NOT admit unlawfully obtained evidence into their criminal trials.  In rendering the decision, the court totally ignores the fact that the suspended state constitutions already have exclusionary clauses.
