The Chesapeake Incident: Captain Salusbury Pryce Humphreys, commanding HMS Leopard, fires upon and boards the USS Chesapeake, commanded by Commodore James Barron. The provocation was the recovery of four Sailors from Royal Navy who had defected to the Navy of the united States.
