SUBJUGATION DAY: While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Commander-in-Chief Trump unilaterally adds an across-the-board tariff to all imported goods coming into the U.s.: “[T]his is LIBERATION DAY– waiting for a long time. April 2, 2025 will forever be remembered as the day American industry was reborn, the day America’s destiny was reclaimed, and the day that we began to make America wealthy again.  Going to make it wealthy, good and wealthy.” [emphasis added]

       NOTES:

• As Trump promised to replace the unlawful, personal Federal income tax with tariffs—and without any serious reductions in the welfare and warfare states—an across-the-board tariff of 200% would have been necessary; that is if he intended to balance the Federal budget.
• The Smoot-Hawley Tariff, which started the Great Depression, was only 59%.

       Postscript: Eight months after this speech, manufacturing and construction jobs were still disappearing.  And the Federal budget deficit was continuing to grow.
