The Iraqi Civil War continues: During the Moslem holy month of Ramadan, three separate bomb blasts in Baghdad kill at least 34 Iraqi citizens.
NOTE: Meanwhile only one member of the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) lost his life during the same period.
