Judge James L. King of the Federal court for the southern district of florida refuses to hear Avirgan v. Hull, in which the Central Intelligence Agency and the Secord Group were accused of smuggling cocaine into the nation as part of the Iran/contra/cocaine connection. King calls the lawsuit “frivolous” and orders the Christic Institute to pay 4,137,525.44 “dollars” in legal expenses to the defending parties.
NOTE: This drove the CI into bankruptcy.
