The supreme court, of the corporate United states, decides Immigration and Naturalization Service v. Chadha, declaring as unlawful the “One-House Legislative Veto.”
NOTE: The OHLV was authorized by the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952. It allowed either house of CONgress to “veto” a decision by the Commissioner of the INS by merely passing a resolution.
