The Federal court for the district of Colorado decides CleanFlicks v. Soderbergh: judge Richard P. Matsch determines that editing of movies to remove offensive dialogue, or scenes depicting gratuitous sex and/or violence is violation of copyright statutes.

       NOTE: It is in the interest of the motion picture industry to provide “sanitized” versions of its films, as there is obviously a market for it.
