While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Robert Alan McDonald, Secretary of Veterans Affairs, dismisses the long wait times at VA hospitals as akin to the wait times at a Disney amusement park:
The days to an appointment is really not what we should be measuring. What we should be measuring is the veteran’s satisfaction. … When you go to Disney, do they measure the number of hours you wait in line? What’s important is what’s your satisfaction with the experience.
