Irvington, new york statute enforcement officers (acting under-color-of-law) beat Max Antoine, a Haitian immigrant, with side handle batons. The SEOs also kick Antoine, shove him through a glass door, spray him in the eyes with pepper spray, before arresting him. Antoine’s crime was to ask his sister to write down the SEOs’ badge numbers, because they were shoving his guests around at a party.
Postscript: Antoine was left in a jail cell for two days before receiving medical attention. He suffered a fractured eye socket, a broken jaw, bowel and bladder damage and spinal injuries. He remains paralyzed below the waist after 17 surgeries.
