       President Reagan signs the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, authorizing Federal agents to conduct “roving” wiretaps—that is to eavesdrop in on any telephone a suspect might use—provided they first obtain a court warrant.

       The Reagan Reverie (“Revolution?”) continues: Republican (fascist/socialist) President Reagan signs the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act, raising the national debt limit from 2,111,000,000,000 to 2,300,000,000,000 “dollars.”

       NOTE: So much for conservative Republicans!
