The Federal court for the northern district of illinois hands down Will v. United states: judge Stanley J. Roszkowski declares “C[ON]gress’ failure to raise judicial salaries in the face of uncontrolled inflation [depreciation of the Federal Reserve Note] result[s] in an indirect diminution” of their salaries in violation “of the Compensation Clause.”
NOTE: Federal judges are willing to protect their own against the ravages of inflation, but they are not willing to protect WE THE PEOPLE from the same scourge via Article I, Section 10 [Clause 1].
