The Whig/“Law and Order” (nationalist) legislature of the Independent State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations applies to the Whig 27th Constitutional Congress for the deployment of the Army of the united States into the State to suppress subversive meetings by the rival Suffragists (constitutionalists).
Postscript: As Congress was not in session, independent Democrat (constitutionalist) President John Tyler refused the request as “the danger of domestic violence is hourly diminishing”.
