The Reign of Terror continues—La Fete de la Vertu: The National Convention, of the Republic of France, passes the Law of Suspects, aimed at former nobles, emigres, officials removed or suspended from office, officers suspected of treason, and hoarders of goods.  Due Process is suspending, allowing “suspects” to be jailed without benefit of trial.  They are considered “guilty until proven innocent.”
