More than sixty Boston, Massachusetts retailers and wholesalers sign the Non-Importation Agreement pledging not to trade with Great Britain until the parliamentary imposed monopoly, cutting off colonial trade with the world is repealed.
Postscript: The NIAs were largely successful. After a two-year standoff, Parliament gave the colonies most of what it had been asking for.
